Dr. Levinson earned his Doctorate of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1972. After graduation he quickly became a partner in a busy practice in Jackson Heights, Queens before venturing out to North Babylon, where he has served the community for 45+ years. Many of his patients have been with the practice for 3 generations. He has done clinical trials for contact lens companies and has published articles on eye care. He has also served as the Suffolk County Optometric Society president and was a long time member of the Lions Club. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Levinson specializes in total family care, vision training, and contact lens fittings. He attends conferences monthly to learn about the newest technologies and treatments for his patients. He has continued to exceed the necessary credit hours needed to stay up to date for his patients.

He has been married to his beautiful wife Debbie for 52 years. His older son, Brett, is a John's Hopkins Medical School trained ophthalmologist. His younger son, Scott, is a American Opticianry Board certified optician whom you may see at the optical at Sunset Eyecare perfecting the style and fit of your frames.

Dr. Peter Fong completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biology as well as his Doctorate of Optometry at THE Ohio State University. He has received several honors and awards during his years there. Throughout his optometry studies, he has completed his externship at the Louis Stokes Veteran Affairs Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, where he diagnosed and treated cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal disease, dry eye syndrome, uveitis, and other various ocular diseases. He also has experience in pre and postoperative care for LASIK and cataract surgery. 

Dr. Fong specializes in many areas including treating eye diseases such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, conjunctivitis, and diabetic retinopathy. He has always been on the forefront of contact lens technology by assisting various contact lens manufacturers in research and data on new products . He is also affiliated with TLC laser eye centers and is a LASIK patient himself.

Dr. Fong is an active member of the American Optometry Association, New York State Optometric Association, and Suffolk County Optometric Association. He enjoys his work and being able to help his patients with their eye health and visual needs. He is committed to serving the community, striving for excellence, and delivering superior care to his patients. Dr. Fong loves to stay active and explore the world with his wife Esther and their son Kai. He is a big sports fanatic, especially with his beloved Buckeyes! O-H-I-O!

Scott completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science at SUNY Albany where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. While working with Dr. Levinson, Scotts talent in the optical, quickly earned him a fellowship to become a board certified optician. He has been certified since 2005 and continues to learn about the newest lens technologies so that he can bring our patients the best in eyewear.

Scott has been working at the practice for 20+ years and specializes in fitment, adjustments and repairs of your eyewear. He can also design the best lens options, whether you are skiing down the Alps or swimming with the dolphins, there is a best lens for you.

Scott is happily married to his wife Dawn. In his free time he jet skis in Long Beach. 

Charles Frank is a American Board of Opticianry licensed optician and has 45+ years of experience in the fabrication and dispensing of eyeglasses. He started in the industry in the 1970's in Manhattan. Charles worked in specialty labs where difficult lens shapes and frames were his specialty. He can tell you the base curve of a lens just by looking at a frame. Charles has been with Sunset Eyecare for 10+ years. We are lucky to have someone with so much experience on the team.

He also has tried other endeavors such as real estate, car racing professionally and has tried out for the New York Mets.

Kerrie is a native of West Islip. She has been with Sunset Eyecare for 20+ years.  From patient check ins, insurances, pre-testing, and frame selection and measurements, there is nothing Kerrie can't do. She knows all the ins and outs of the practice and keeps things running smooth.

When Kerrie's not a the office, she is busy being a grandma to all her grandbabies and enjoying the beach during the summer.

Fun fact: She first started as a patient of Dr. Levinson and got her first job at the office when she was 16!

Sheila has been with the practice for 5+ years. She specializes in staff management and is knowledgeable with medical and vision insurances. Sheila has become the go to person when ever patients need help with coverage.

Sheila is a fan of all things Disney, she even has the theme song as her ringtone.
